That was just my little welcome note to all of you who have stumbled across dontdopeas.
dontdopeas is my photoblog site. It's nothing amazing and it won't redefine what a photoblog site should be, but I do try and give it a little personality :)

If you wanna know more about me, then click on the proper About Me tab that should be lingering just up there on the toolbar
If you wanna see my photos, then you'll find they are on the dontdopeas homepage
If you wanna send me a little hello or ask something then by all means click on my contact page
If you just wanna keep clicking to make this neat little toolbar pop up and down then go nuts!

Manchester’s China Town gate. Now in HDR flavour! I’m quite fond of this image. It was the first photo I created that was the number one hit on google when you search for ‘Manchester China Town Gate’.
:)
It’s a pretty piece of architecture no?

I think I remember hearing somewhere that Manchester’s China Town Gate was the largest in the UK, maybe even in Europe but I don’t have anything concrete to back that up.

  1. Tom Said,

I believe we have the second largest Chinatown in the UK after London and something like the fourth largest in Europe but am not sure which European cities beat us. Paris for one of them i guess,

  2. Kov Said,

I stand corrected Tom. I did some research and Liverpool has the largest China town Gate outside of China!
I don’t know about the size of the actual “town” itself but I would imagine London’s was larger than Manchester’s.

  3. Steve Said,

Your correct - Liverpool Gate is the largest but “China Town” in Liverpool must surely be the smallest - I was disappointed when last vistiting.
